Meeting Lisbon

January 2010

The NORFACE group met in Lisbon on November 6, 2009. Participants were Dr. Sara Hobolt, Dr. Sara Silvestri, Prof. dr. Claes de Vreese, Dr. Andre Freire, Prof. dr. Wouter van der Brug, Dr. Hajo Boomgaarden, and Malte Carlos Hinrichsen. Future publications were discussed and the REM content analysis was presented.

Meeting Rome

May 2008


The NORFACE group met in Rome on May 16, 2008. Participants were Dr. Sara Hobolt, Dr. Sara Silvestri, Prof. dr. Claes de Vreese, Dr. Andre Freire, Prof. dr. Wouter van der Brug, Dr. Hajo Boomgaarden, and Malte Carlos Hinrichsen. Discussion of the questionnaire of the first study in Ireland and The Netherlands. Planning of the Special Issue of Western European Politics on “Religion and Euroscepticism”.

Meeting Berlin

June 2007


The NORFACE group met in Berlin on November 16-17, 2007. Participants were Dr. Sara Hobolt, Dr. Sara Silvestri, Prof. dr. Michael Minkenberg, Prof. dr. Claes de Vreese, Dr. Andre Freire, Prof. dr. Wouter van der Brug, Dr. Hajo Boomgaarden, and Malte C. Hinrichsen.  The general project planning was discussed,  and the first survey drafted.

Launch meeting in Amsterdam

May 2007


The REM team held its launch meeting in Amsterdam on April 20-21 2007 to discuss the research project and plans. Particpants were: Dr. Sara Hobolt, Dr. Sara Silvestri, Prof. dr. REM project funded

April 2007


The international project NORFACEReligion, Euroskepticism and the Media was funded by NORFACE as one of twelve projects each receiving 500.000 euro for research. NORFACE - New Opportunities for Research Funding Co-operation in Europe (www.norface.org) - is a partnership between research councils from Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom to increase co-operation in research and research policy in Europe.
